We design clothing for those who love the outdoors and for those that want it to stay beautiful.
In making our clothes we make sure little or no harm is caused to the people and places involved. These are the ethics we hold ourselves against; with every decision we make.
Our name comes as a reminder of the power in natural world as well as being a nod to the Screen Printing process we use to print all of our designs; in order to print a shirt you must first 'flood' the screen with ink.
All our wearable items are made using 100% Organic Cotton. It takes 71% less water, 62% less energy, and 100% less pesticides to grow organically when compared to traditional farming; the choice was an obvious one to make.
Some of our non-wearables use a mix of Organic Cotton and Recycled Polyester. We feel it's just as important to re-use some of the plastic waste we generate so long as it's put into something that's great quality and useable for a significant length of time.
Every design is screen printed at our print studio in Manchester. We only ever use water-based, non solvent, Soil Association approved inks when printing and by printing everything ourselves, by hand, we significantly reduce waste together with our carbon footprint.
Mike Palowski - Founder / Designer
With a basic knowledge of screen printing and a whole load of ideas, Mike started the company following a period of travelling that truly opened his eyes to the beauty of the world around us.
Mike built a rudimentary print studio in his parents garage and set to work perfecting his design and print skills before launching Flood Clothing Co. back in 2017.
Always with the next adventure in his sights, Mike runs Flood Clothing Co. full time and prints all the designs along with lots of custom print work from clients looking for an ethical alternative to the usual standard in the apparel industry.
